The Before of Clay Beads

The latest batch of beads just came out of the kiln..now to glaze and fire today.

This is a photo of the what clay looks like before it receives the luscious glazing..hopefully luscious..as opposed to " ohhhh, what the heck happened in that kiln"
You clayfolk know what i'm talkin' about.

There are a lot of plump little heart pendants, 1" long and only about 3/4" wide..which should be lots of fun to work with.
As a clay artist i am drawn to jewelry that includes ceramic bits and pieces,so very earthy and quirky.

Mayco has an interesting line of glazes...Elements.. will be trying out the Malachite, Blue grotto, and Tornado Sky on the hearts...maybe one or two will be red..
Can't wait until tomorrow to unveil these little cuties.

It must be exciting to go through the whole process with the beads - and a little nerve wracking! Hope these turned out as beautiful as you dreamed :D
