Cookie in a Basket

This is Cookie..the little dog I found the other week( see previous post)
She is the cutest, sweetest, best dog.
I've always had larger dogs..not that I've chosen to have big dogs or any dog really or  ever gone out and purposely gotten a dog..I pretty much just have to go out my front door and there's a dog waiting..What is that about Universe?
And so it was with this little bit..however I feel like I have enough pets alreay, plus care taking my elderly family, I am open to finding her a new home , no one responded to my found dog ads ..of course she didn't look this good when I came across her.. no tags, no chip, fleas, not spayed,Dirty too..but she was socialized ..thank goodness.

Last night she decided the waste paper basket looked like a very nice bed..funny girl.
She is going to her new home this evening..just down the street..I feel like a mom with a little kid who is going on their very first sleep over..
she's been "reconditioned" ..shots, heartworm checked( neg), groomed, and CHIPPED.. while I will miss her like crazy , I am hoping she works out well in her new home..and if not...well, my door is always open to Cookie.
Update....Cookie had apparently already decided my home was the place for her.. she behaved so badly with the new people that I got a call in the middle of the night..."it's Not working out"  Ok bring her over..midnight dog swap .I am rather glad it turned out that way...My mom and aunt have fallen in love with Cookie..me too...and just an aside..you might be mindful of what  you put energy into by thought or voice..cause you just might get it..most often in a somewhat different manner than you expected.
I was thinking I wanted a little dog for mom and aunt( not fuzzy needing regular grooming) bam here comes Cookie...had been thinking I needed a junkyard dog ...Hellooo here came Riley..both perfect in their own way..just not exactly as I had imagined it...now if I can just fine tune this "Ask for it/Get it" ability..

What a sweetheart! And the dog is cute too! Bless you for taking her in and finding her a new home. I know just how you feel - only, in my case, it is cats... Guess the universe knows best what it is doing.

Thank you so much for taking her in and caring for her. And for finding her a new home. Anyone who cares for animals is someone that I am proud to call a friend
