This is the typical straight on shot but i did fiddle with the highlight and contrast options.
My photo skills are not what they should be..that's not a secret or new.
They are better than a year ago,but don't really show my beads to their best advantage.
Usually i'm in a rush to get things listed before i head out to my "day job"
A friendly blogger , Fanciful Devices, took some great photos of my beads from her last order.
It was very clear i needed get a clue about this photo thing..
Thanks for the input..still need to work on my photo skills but this is a good start.

Beautiful focal piece~ excellent photo!
I hear ya on the rush to get photos and listed...there just aren't enough hours in the day.
I think this piece is great, as well as the photo!! My photo skills always need work.
YAY! The side shot looks AWESOME!
Have you played w/'unsharp mask'?
i know what you mean about being in a rush to get to the day job! I'm just a perfectionist about visual things (and a slob in all other aspects of life).
The little pear is precious.
I just finished a necklace w/your amber owl and amber button, and I'm working on a bracelet w/2 of your grey pieces.
i think these photos are great! yes, it does seem that by the time you get a piece finished, getting the shots is just more work - and then the listing, yadda yadda yadda... of course, if we don't do that, we cannot sell... i don't think people realize how much goes in to getting even one piece up into a listing... but this is lovely - i like the color you chose for it...
and i am a huge fan of low side shots...
Hi Nan, Your photos are looking great! I am with you about not having enough hours in a day. I think I will ask for 32-hour days for my special gift from Santa, what do you think?
