Day #5 of the Bead Soup Reveal..and Giveaway

Melissa of One Eared Pig is my bead soup partner.
she sent some wonderful lampwork beads..the focals reminded me of midnight on the ocean..like the west coast..not the texas gulf.
i have never used lampwork beads so it was a challenge , typically i reworked this necklace about 4 times, pretty happy with the way it turned out, i like the colors and rough feel .
the clasp is a star and moon that i antiqued to work with the darkness of the steel wire.
i wanted to play up the sandy color of the focal so i made ceramic pearls wire wrapped with annealed steel , 2 different gauges, add some MOP frames with seed beads and wooden beads inside, also made some wrapped turquoise bead links and the focal is suspended from a steel bar threaded with ceramic pearls and seed beads

my blog is doing a peek a boo thing with the comments..but i think if you click on the title the comment box appears..
thanks Lori for hosting this second Bead Soup Party..
below is the list of todays participating beaders..it too may be doing a peek a boo..does anyone know how to change that setting?

Great necklace, I love all the different textures! I think I did mine even more than four times, but the end result is what counts, right?

I've seen someone else's blog on the menu for Tuesday that was doing the same thing with the links, but I don't remember whose it was. Try to go into the link part and highlight and give a different color and that should fix it. I highlight mine in turquoise so they show up, for some reason my template has a color that is very close to my background and I haven't figured out how to change it yet.

I'm blogging about your giveaway too! Great selection!

Everytime I string a necklace or bracelet I ALWAYS end up reworking it at least once. When I beadweave I almost never redo. What is it about stringing???

You ended up with a really nice necklace! Great job.

thanks for the giveaway!
